The Royal Paulowina

This beautiful Royal Paulownia tree was damaged in a recent windstorm and sadly, that’s when they discovered it was very sick. At just 56 years old, it had grown incredibly fast and earned the title of Rhode Island Champion Tree.

The park superintendent, Alan, had a brilliant idea: repurpose the fallen wood for my upcoming open studio this Saturday. Now, pieces of the Paulownia are in the cottage, holding my artwork and filling the space with the most amazing scent.

Thank you, Paulownia! 🌳💚

Come by Saturday, July 26th 2-4 pm. What doesn’t sell at this event will be on my website for sale shortly after.
