"Holy Presence" Champion Tree of Wilcox Park

$500.00

This unique mixed media artwork was created during my artist residency at Wilcox Park, Rhode Island, inspired by the park’s majestic Oriental Spruce, a designated Rhode Island Champion Tree. The piece weaves together multiple textures and materials to celebrate the tree’s history, presence, and place within the landscape.

At its heart is a detailed graphite drawing of the Oriental Spruce, surrounded by layers of handwoven maps and delicate bark paper, adding tactile depth and a sense of place. Intricate embroidery evokes the living connections between nature and memory.

Measuring 10" x 20", this artwork is mounted on a sturdy backboard and comes protected in a clear sleeve, ready for display or framing.

This piece is a testament to the resilience and beauty of Wilcox Park’s natural heritage, blending art and nature in a truly one-of-a-kind expression.

Details:
• Mixed media: graphite drawing, woven maps, bark paper, embroidery, textured paper
• Size: 10" x 20"
• Mounted on backboard with protective sleeve
• Signed and dated by the artist
